My wife and I decided to take a mortgage loan to buy a plot of land and build a "dream" house in a cottage village in the land of Rheinland - Pfalz on the border with Luxembourg.
My wife works in Luxembourg and, despite her impressive work experience and high position, interesting conditions were not offered to us in Luxembourg banks.
